Teignmouth has good road connections to Torquay and Paignton, to the south, Newton Abbot, Totnes and Dartmouth inland, and Dawlish to the north. Train and bus services connect to Torquay, Paignton, Newton Abbot, Totnes, and Dawlish. Steam trains run from Paignton to Dartmouth, and Totnes to Buckfastleigh. Passenger ferries connect Teignmouth to Shaldon, Greenway to Dittisham and Dartmouth, Starcross to Exmouth and a car ferry connects Kingswear to Dartmouth.
